Codex is a site dedicated to the gift that Ashes and Snow artist Gregory Colbert offered to Rolex. A group of 17th century original books containing artifacts and photography from his Ashes and Snow collection.

The site uses advanced Flash 8 and Actionscript 2.0 filter effects and advanced bitmap blend modes and colour effects. This site was completed in a very short timeline and is completely dynnamic. With a combination of CSS, and XML almost anything can be changed externally without touching the flash files. Everything from colours, positioning, content even animations can be changed by simply updating XML files.

As in most of my sites I coded using a version of the Model View Controller design pattern.
